Language Tutoring

Language tutoring for dyslexic students addresses sounds and symbols as well as syllable divisions and spelling choices. Phonemic awareness and handwriting are usually a part of each session as well as a ten minute period of reading aloud to practice previously taught phonetic concepts. More advanced sessions include learning Anglo-Saxon and Latin prefixes, roots, and suffixes as well as sentence structure and grammar.
