Teacher Training
The Orton-Gillingham Approach is highly recommended, and I have been fortunate to see the benefits implemented first hand on a daily basis at my school. The students respond extremely well in the multi-sensory approach and strategies carefully taught by their tutors. I was thrilled to complete the associate level training under the expertise of Fellow, Dawn Nieman. — Majella, Brooklyn, NY
Teacher training is offered to those interested in helping dyslexic and non-impaired children the opportunity to learn to read, write, and spell. Although the course is designed to help teachers, parents and those not trained as certified teachers are eligible to take the course. To complete a practicum to become an Orton-Gillingham Academy member, trainees must have a Bachelor’s degree.
