Apple Users: Text to Speech

• Go to Apple
• System Preferences
• Click on “Accessibility”
• Select “Speech” and “Alex” as your System Voice
• Adjust the Speaking Rate and Press “Play” to hear
• Check the box for “Speak selected text when the key is pressed”
• Select your keystroke as “Command R” for “Read”. Every time you want something read aloud, highlight the text and “Command R”

(This function does not always work on PDF files.)
